In part 1 of this article, we setup an import task which imports contacts and attaching the contacts to an existing account – using post action events.
In this part 2 of this article, we will take a look at another way to import contact records and have it attached to an existing organization record.
First, map the “Account_Relations” field against the import field that contains the organization name. Once mapped, click on the “Edit” button to the right of the field mapping. You should get the “Field Mapping Settings” dialog, click on “Edit Expression”.
Make sure that you select “SQL Statement” and “Pipeliner Database” under data source option. The expression is an sql query.
Select Id from Accounts where organization = ‘@@organizationname’
This query will return the id of the account that matches the organization name from the import file. The ‘@@’ characters in front of the import field name “organizationname” tells DBX that it should get the value from the current import row under the column “organizationname”.
If you see multiple instances of “Pipeliner Database”, Click Here.
